Interstellar : Actual reason for searching a new home

Cooper and Murph reached NASA's secret space research center. Professor Brand tells him about the situation of earth and the need of finding a new home. Brand tells Blight has destroyed all crops other than corn and it also will die soon.

Prof. Brand : Blight
                    Wheat seven years ago, Okra this year.
                    Now there's just corn.
                    And we're growing more than we ever have.
                    But like the potatoes in Ireland and the wheat in the Dust Bowl...
                    ...the corn will die.
                    Soon.

Cooper       :We'll find a way, professor. We always have.

Prof. Brand : Driven by the unshakable faith the Earth is ours.
